Assistant Soccer Coach - Burlington Bayhawks U16 boys team (Summer 2013)

During the summer of 2013 I took the position, for the first time, as the assistant coach for the U17 boys Burlington rep soccer team. During the course of the summer we played in the Nike Cup Challenge tournament in Ohio where we went undefeated and took home the championship trophy. Furthermore, we were accepted into the Umbro Cup, Mississauga, Ontario showcase tournament where the team also went undefeated against OYSL (Ontario Youth Soccer League) competition of the same age category. Our season was played in the SRSL (South Region Soccer League) where once again, the team went undefeated with a record of 10-0-4. The 2013 season was a significant improvement whereas the previous season the team finished with a record of 4-5-5 in the same division. Following the season, our team was not only promoted to the OYSL but also named "competitive team of the year" and the coaching staff received the "coach of the year" award from the Burlington Youth Soccer Club.
