He made his first team senior appearance for the Mariners in a pre-season friendly at the age of 14 years old. During this time, he signed a youth contract with a one year professional contract with Grimsby Town. He was asked by the Manchester clubs, to spend a week at both Manchester United and a week at Manchester City where he impressed, however had to turn down training requests also at Blackburn and Newcastle due to time restrictions. At that time Phil Brown at Hull City approached Grimsby with a bid of 100k for Jack to transfer to the Barclays Premier League. Hull City signed Jack on a five year deal which included a four year professional contract. This contract ends at the end of this season and following a meeting with Steve Bruce, has mutually decided not to extend his contract with the club at the present time. Jack is looking for a new club to take his career forward and play regular football. Steve Bruce said he is more than happy to speak to a club with interest at looking at Jack and is keen to let him go out on trials before the end of the season to progress his career.
