Andriy Yarmolenko has been trolled by his West Ham team-mates after his glaring miss in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

The Ukrainian winger, who scored twice in the 3-1 away win at Everton, missed the target with a free header from just six yards out with 12 minutes remaining against the Blues as the Hammers settled for a point at the London Stadium.

And Yarmolenko's team-mates were quick to poke fun at him on their return to training this week.

Speaking after the game, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini said: "Maybe it was easier to score. Maybe he relaxed a bit more.

"But when you have chances against big teams you must score them. The draw is not a bad point but if we took those chances we could have got three."

Four points from their last two games has lifted West Ham to 17th in the Premier League table after the club lost their first four matches of the season - including home defeats to Bournemouth and Wolves - and the change in fortunes has appears to have lifted the squad.

It was all change at West Ham in the summer with Pellegrini coming in as manager and the club spending around £100m in the transfer window as Yarmolenko arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £17.5m.
