Graham Potter insists he will remain in charge of Swedish club Ostersunds for their Allsvenskan match against BK Hacken on Saturday amid speculation linking him with the vacant Swansea job.

Sky sources understand Swansea have made Potter their first choice to take over as manager and replace Carlos Carvalhal at the Liberty Stadium, following the Swans' relegation from the Premier League.

The 43-year-old Englishman is reported to have already held discussions with the south Wales club but dismissed the talk as "speculation".

Asked if he would remain with Ostersunds for the weekend clash, Potter replied: "Absolutely".

Speaking to Swedish TV channel C More Entertainment after his current side's 5-2 victory over IK Sirius on Wednesday evening, he added: "It's just speculation. I said the same yesterday and before the last game. It's the same thing now.

"We had to focus on today's game and we did it really well. Now we have to focus on the game on Saturday.

"We've had a tough spring because of many reasons but we have the opportunity to finish the spring with 17 points if we win on Saturday. Let's focus on that."

Potter took over at Ostersunds in 2011, winning the Swedish Cup in 2017 before reaching the last 32 of last season's Europa League where they were beaten 4-2 on aggregate by Arsenal.

His links to Swansea follow the departure of former coach Carvalhal who was unable to prevent the club dropping into the Championship having replaced Paul Clement in December.
