Wilfried Zaha discussed the two penalty incidents he was involved in against Watford and told Goals on Sunday that he believes there is an agenda against him.

Wilfried Zaha believes he is being unfairly portrayed as a diver, insisting there is an agenda against him in parts of the media.

The Crystal Palace forward was booked during Saturday's clash with Watford when he went down under pressure from Adrian Mariappa - but replays suggested there was contact and referee Chris Kavanagh should perhaps have awarded a penalty.

No player has received more yellow cards for simulation than Zaha since the start of the 2015/16 season, but he has never received a suspension for his actions.

And during his appearance on Goals on Sunday on Sky Sports, he insisted he has been unfairly labelled as a diver.

When asked if he felt there was an agenda against him, he said: "I feel like there totally is. I see other players dive, but I don't see people trying to get them banned the way they want me banned.

"But I haven't been banned - so clearly I'm not diving. I just play my football, really. People will say what they want to say and that's fine. I'll still play the same way I play."

Saturday's draw with Watford left Palace six points above the relegation zone with the club's Premier League status still not secure, but amid speculation in the British media linking him with a summer move to Tottenham, Zaha insists he is only focused on the club's remaining fixtures.

"I try not to think about it," he explained. "It will only just sway me from the job at hand at Crystal Palace.

"Obviously we are where we are at right now and my only thought process is that I'm at Palace and I need to work to get us out of where we are right now.

Charlie Nicholas watched Crystal Palace's draw with Watford and believes Wilfried Zaha was wrongfully denied a penalty.

"Whatever happens, happens, but all I'm thinking about is Palace. I'm contracted at Palace and I'm enjoying my football.

"There's no reason for me to think about anything else."
