Cardiff chief executive Ken Choo has called on Derby to reimburse his club’s 2,700 travelling fans after their Pride Park clash was postponed on Sunday.

Derby announced that the Sky Bet Championship match had been postponed on Sunday morning following heavy snowfall overnight, which left the surrounding areas at Pride Park "in an unsafe condition for supporters, staff and officials".

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock called the decision "a disgrace" with County maintaining they followed the correct procedures, and they reject any suggestion the postponement was made for any other reason than the health and safety of supporters.

However, Cardiff CEO Choo has now called for his club's supporters to be compensated for their efforts in getting to the postponed fixture.

"We remain far from happy about what happened on Sunday morning and many questions still need answering," Choo told Sky Sports News.

"We have left the matter in the hands of the EFL but the very least Derby can do is to reimburse 2,700 of our fans for their tickets and their travel.

Derbyshire Police and Derby City Council have distanced themselves from the Sunday morning decision, insisting Derby County acted alone in calling the game off.

Both clubs have provided their observations to the EFL, who will decide if any sanctions will be taken - and when the fixture will be rescheduled.
