Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has replaced Clarence Seedorf in charge of second-tier Chinese side Shenzhen.
Eriksson left his job as manager of Shanghai SIPG in November despite leading the Chinese Super League (CSL) team to third in the country's top flight.
The Swede has opted to step down a league to take charge of Shenzhen after the club split by mutual consent with former Real Madrid and Netherlands midfielder Seedorf.
Shenzhen announced Eriksson's appointment on social media, saying the club expected the former Manchester City and Leicester boss' "rich coaching experience, advanced football philosophy, and intimate knowledge of Chinese football" to lead the team to a new era of success.
Eriksson, who managed England from 2001-2006, led Shanghai SIPG to second place in the CSL in his first of two seasons in charge but suffered an embarrassing exit of the 2016 AFC Champions League, crashing out to the eventual champions from South Korea, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, with a 5-0 second-leg defeat.
Shenzhen FC thanked Seedorf for his contributions but gave no reason for his departure.
