Alexander Hastings I have admired the College system in the USA for many years. We only have access to NFL and College Basketball, but I have seen how good it works. I would firstly like to help the college that selects me to win championships because it will help the exposure to that college and as the college grows with stature, I will be more proud of mine and the establishment’s achievements.

INTERVIEW Why should a coach choose you for their team? I have a professional attitude to football. The Coach should select me for his team because I have great leadership skills that could contribute towards the team and help the coach to reaffirm his philosophies on the field. I also have a high level of motivation and dedication towards my training so that I can perform at my best when game day arrives. My ability to read game situations would benefit your team to insure that we win as many games as possible. I am a centre defender but I also play in the right back position. I do not mind receiving the ball in tight areas because I have and exceptional first touch. I have the ability to play out form the back and occasionally I will go into midfield and even continue my run into the final third.

How hard do you work on your goals? I work very hard on my goals. I set myself targets to reach in every performance. eg. Pushing up into midfield 3 times per game etc.. I like to set goals and achieve them quickly. I will practice and practice them until I master them. I like to set new goals as well and want to improve in every aspect of my game. I train and average of 14 - 20 hours per week. 6 hours at club and at least 10 hours on my own.

Anything else we should know? I'm Currently involved with the Brisbane Roar Youth Training Squad, who are the current Hyundia A-League Champions Our team won the State Championship for 3 years that I played and we were runners up in the National Championship only losing by one goal in the final.

Life Goals To become a Professional Soccer Player and do my family Proud
