Tom has been playing with Tranmere Rovers since 2004,scouted for Manchester Utd where he spent a season 2005-2006 and chose Tranmere for his coaching whilst he is so young and the club is nearer home. Scored 29 goals at u9's playing up with 10's and 11 goals at 10's. His local football team have won the ellesmereport mini league 2007-08. In May 2009,Tom captained his primary school's u11's football team to reach the FL Community Cup final competition played at Wembley Stadium;scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win over Crewe in the regional finals to get to the national finals.
